NY Fashion week guide

Hey hey!!

Its that time of the year again!! My favorite fashion month!! :))) I feel like it was yesterday when I was counting the days until fashion weeks, and now the whole fashion month is almost over already. After New York and London, I managed to survive also Milan.

So it is about time to write a little about my stay in NY FW in general. In the fashion section you will be able to find my style and trend report shortly, but until then lets start with the travel guide.

As all the events and shows are mostly spread out, the location of your stay plays a very important role. In my opinion the best is to stay mid town, so you are kind of in the middle of everything. I decided to start NY fw together with my gf Xenia (Xeniaoverdose) and for our stay we choose Sofitel on 44th Street, which was more then perfect and convenient, so we were able to attend everything without stress.

The area where we stayed is really nice, as you are around the corner from Times Square, and right next door to 5th avenue so you can walk around and also do some nice shopping (careful, the temptations are insane). At the same time also the famous flat iron building is only a few blocks away.

But the best part of our place was not only the location, but the spacious and huge rooms of the hotel. Especialy in NY the rooms are normally really small and tight, but as I realized already last time, Sofitel offers really big rooms, that is why I really wanted to come back and enjoy it again. Really highly recommend. Especially if you decide to go for a room with amazing terrace like ours! I guarantee you, you will almost not want to leave the room ! :) Around the area is many nice restaurants, especially if you head a little lower down to Meatpacking, where you an find bunch of cool bars, restaurants and clubs. But to be honest, my favorite part was actually room service, so didn’t really do many trips down there this time :) Especially when you get breakfast delivered to the most amazing terrace with a gorgeous view of the city, why would  you bother !?! :)

Regarding nightlife everything is still more or less the same, Catch restaurant and club celebrated 5th anniversary which was a really fun party (Happy birthday Catch!). Some days can be quite nice at Cipriani, where they started a little fun party place on the first floor. There is a new cool club Blonde, good old avenue, and many others.

One of my fav areas of NY is also West Village and Soho, which are really cute, boho, artsy neighborhoods, where you can find lots of exciting places, as well as cool and unique stores.

Weather during this NY FW was incredible hot, but still amazing in my opinion. I always prefer it to be hot then cold. The only problematic thing about everything together was the humidity. But we survived, thank god there is AC at Sofitel :) And the most amazing showers.

If you have any questions regarding NY in the time of FW feel free to ask. My intensive trend report coming up this days for all the fashion weeks!

Lots of love from the magical Paris! And a big thank you for everything to Hotel Sofitel! It was as always unforgettable and incredible experience. Me and Xenia had quite a few unforgettable moments at your place, thank you for making it happen!

Love, MM Xxx
