New York

NEW YORK

The big apple. The city that never sleeps. The city with incredible energy. And more and more. There is something in the air, that made me fell in love with it. For a reason everyone is making songs about New York. It is the energy, that is just hard to explain.

This time I was here at the busiest period, when fashion week falls on the same date as the US open. So you will see a lot of people running up and down (as always), but mostly for the events, or they will go to the stadiums. Whenever you come, you will not be disappointed. There is tons of happenings and events every single night. And even if not, there is a huge amount of great restaurants, so you can still have a fun evening in the circle of friends or loved ones.

If you are visiting for the first time, you clearly have to do some touristic things.. Like start with the walk on the Times square, go for a jog to Central park. Go see a Broadway show or an opera, check the view from empire state building. Must cultural trip is visiting Momo (Museum of modern art) and for street style visit downtown – soho. The main thing is to go with the flow. Feel the vibe of it, feel the energy, people.. It will suck you in. And once it does, it is really hard to leave.

If you fancy a nice walk around in a cool and trendy area go to soho, with small boutiques and coffee shops. Also offers amazing shopping, including biggest high street brands, as well as vintage shopping. And you can really find some real treasures there. On the way in your walk and hunt, stop for a drink or a btie at the Mercer hotel, and have a greek yoghurt at Chobani.

Another cool area, similar to soho, but even more hipster is west village. Tons of cool places to go and see. And of course Meatpacking, where all the clubbing is located.

The more uptown you move, the more you will se nice and fancy hotels, known as more posh area. Especially if you move around 5th avenue and Madison avenue. Full of nicest boutiques, department shops and more. I mostly like to hang more lower east side, but you have plenty of options.

Whenever you visit this incredible city, remember to go with the flow and let the city drives you. Trust the coincidence, and just wander around. You never know what can happen here..

Lots of love from my next destination – Milan
