Milan..

Slowly I am getting to know this city more and more.. And the more I get to know it, the more I am starting to like it. Even tho fashion week is a very busy time, I still managed to enjoy few of the most incredible meals with a real good italian food, have the best coffee and enjoy some of the great venues and see incredible architecture.

The grand Gothic cathedral, the Duomo, lies at the geographical heart of this one-time Imperial Roman capital, and expresses the love of beauty and power that still drives the city today. Art collections old and new, unparalleled shopping, one of Europe’s biggest trade-fair complexes, sparkling nightlife, the prestige of opera at La Scala, the mark of Leonardo da Vinci’s genius, a religious addiction to calcio(football), and endless opportunities to eat the best of Lombard and Italian food make Milan much more than the puritanically work-obsessed city it is often portrayed as.

We all know about the big and famous Duomo, so this should definitely be your number one stop when you come to the city.

THINGS TO SEE AND DO:

  • Duomo
  • Museo del Novecento
  • The last Supper (Leonardo Da Vinci mural)
  • Wine Tasting
  • Teatro alla Scala
  • Castello Sforzesco
  • Basilica di Santa Maria delle Grazie
  • Parco Sempione
  • Lake Como (if you have time its definitely worth doing a trip and go for a day to this incredible lake that is only 1h drive away)

One of the best activities in Milan is of course shopping.
They are the country with one of the best fashions, so even if you are not a big fan, you have to check the department store Excelsior – Antonia. In my opinion they have the best selection of everything that is simply cool.

As well as 10 Corso Como that might be the world’s most hyped ‘concept shop’. It includes bookshop upstairs with art and design titles, a hyper-stylish bar and restaurant in the main atrium and picture-perfect courtyard.
A great place to visit would be also Armani Superstore, where you can find everything from Armani at the same huge place. Shop, restaurant, coffee shop, hotel and an actual Nobu.
And finally you should not miss Via Montenapoleone, that is the main street with all the biggest designers.abf389e381a54871b9c6b7c2244a807c

In the area of town called Brera you will find bunch of cute small restaurants with incredible food.

And don’t forget to really enjoy your meals and the incredible italian food. For them all the meals are like saint, so at least while over there, try to live the real Dolce Vita. Appreciate food. And after the meals, obligatory espresso. Like the real Italians.
