Fall is fully here, so we can see all the new trends coming up. If you are preparing yourself for the winter and want to get some of the most fashionable pieces, here is the list of what you should pay attention to. Everything is long this season – long over the knee boots, long gloves.. But in contrast to this, the skirt should be mini. A lot of burgundy and brown shades.. Anyway you might as well just go through my list and see each of the key pieces separately 🙂
And happy shopping.. XX, MM
A-line dress. The signature 60s dress: short and flared. Back to a schoolgirl or Swinging London style with a couture twist, see the refined textiles proposed by Christian Dior.
Fur stole. In real or fake fur, natural or dyed, it’s a go-to staple to add a dark lady vibe, to embellish a pearl-hued silk dress or a rigorous coat. The only rule to follow is how to wear it: like Michael Kors or Roksanda, designers suggest to keep it in place with a skinny belt.
Gypsy-style cape. The folk style dress was a must-have summer staple, but for winter gypsy-style capes will be all the rage. Ample and colorful, featuring geometric motifs or embellished with fringes. See the Dsquared2 cape or the minimal number by Alice + Olivia, in black and white.
Too long gloves. Extra-long gloves. Super-long gloves are the ladylike accessory for Fall, as seen on Prada’s runway. Even better if in colored leather. We suggest to wear them with short or ¾ sleeve jackets in masculine fabrics like Prince of Wales or houndstooth.
Miniskirt. It’s closely related to the above-mentioned dress, but it’s more versatile because you can team it with blouses, jumpers, shirts. Fendi suggests an optical miniskirt and a top with two-tone fur detailing. Get inspired by Andy Warhol’s Factory Girl.
Reefer jacket. From the nautical world, an iconic item for next winter: the navy blue double-breasted reefer jacket. A must-have style? The floor-length number with contrasting golden buttons, by Chloé.
Something burgundy. Burgundy or deep Marsala. This brownish red hue (that recalls the nuances of wine) will be the must-have color for total looks or details. See the booties by Lanvin or the velvet sandals by Jil Sander or the hat by Maison Michel, it will be easy to find an accessory in this color.
Over-the-knee boots. Thigh-high boots that bolder girls use instead of tights and sock. Almost all designers have proposed them, I picked the Burberry Prorsum boots: in patchwork suede, with a folk vibe so fashionable right now.
The turtle neck jumper. A basic piece that, with the right proportions, can be the standout piece of a very chic casual look, see Victoria Beckham. Retro allure for Anteprima with a midi skirt and 40-inspired maryjanes.
The bow neck shirt. With a bow or a small ruffle at the neck. Gucci proposed the same garment for her and for him, a genderless style we will see a lot of in 2016.
